Are you looking for a variety of valentine basket gift ideas for your special one this Valentine’s Day? More specifically, are you looking for ideas that don’t involve sweets?
As someone with type 1 diabetes, I certainly appreciate gifts that don’t involve candy. Not that I don’t or can’t eat candy — sometimes sugar is actually necessary.
But, contrary to popular belief, Valentine’s Day gifts don’t have to involve a sweet treat. You can still give a thoughtful gift without giving candy. So I personally think the best valentine basket gift ideas are relaxing, warm, and cozy.
Valentine Basket Gift Ideas
You could always go with the traditional chocolate gift basket or cookie bouquets in a gourmet gift basket. There’s nothing wrong with those for a romantic gift. Decadent chocolates in heart-shaped boxes are always nice. Wine gifts are also romantic. Or you could fill a basket with a variety of candy like we might do in easter baskets. (Just remember to use tissue paper instead of that green plastic-y grass stuff!)
But here’s the thing: you don’t have to. Valentine’s Day baskets don’t require sweets. There are so many other ways to say I love you on February 14th. And you honestly don’t have to spend a ton of money either.
